Over the years we have been delivering courses and workshops we have held many ceremonial events involving sonic healing practises of a wide variety. Gathering groups of people together in ceremony is a powerful and transformational experience for all involved. We have witnessed how enjoyable and effective these amazing sonic ceremonies are and we are pleased to be able to hold both a residential retreat where we combine all of our sonic work into one experience as well as providing an opportunity for qualified sound healers to deepen their knowledge of facilitating ceremonial sound experiences resulting in a post graduate Professional Diploma in Ceremonial Sound which is an accredited CMA training.
Pre-Requisite – Please provide your qualification certificates to register (please note you only have to be qualified in one of the following modalities):
a) A qualification as an accredited Gong Master Practitioner/Gong Practitioner (minimum 40 hours training) or
b) A qualification in Reiki Drumming, Sacred Drumming or Shamanic Drumming (minimum 14 hours training) or
c) A qualification in Himalayan Singing Bowls (Minimum 14 hours training)
• Attendance of Transcendence – A Ceremonial Sound five day (four night) residential training (see Retreats Page for further information on the residential).
During the residential you will take part in many different sonic ceremonies over the course of the stay. You are asked to register your interest in attaining this post graduate qualification in advance of the residential retreat as you will be assigned key ceremonial tasks throughout the residential.

Individual Group Ceremonial Sessions
On completion of the training students are expected to complete three large group ceremonies. These can be chosen from a list of ceremonies provided. Students must already have a recognised qualification in either Drumming, Gongs or Himalayan Singing Bowls to facilitate those particular ceremonies in their case studies. All others ceremonies are included as part of the training in the residential. The post residential assessment involves you writing up the preparation as well as feedback from those taking part in the ceremonies you facilitate. You must also submit a 1000 word or more essay. The intention of the case study ceremonies post training is to consolidate the training of the residential course and to provide more practical experience, all of which must be documented and presented for review.
The residential training is an intensive practical experience for the students with many different sonic ceremonies taking place throughout the duration of the course. To make the most out of the residential experience and to facilitate a large group energy, it will be open to participants who are taking part in the ceremonies only and not necessarily continuing onto complete the Professional Diploma. As such those who do plan on doing the qualification would play important roles during the residential.
On successful completion of this training, which involves a successful pass rate (based on written work submission), attendance of the initial training course, and completion of all of the ceremonies and essay, the student will be issued with a certificate of completion which will be known as a Professional Diploma in Ceremonial Sound and which is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association. Their main modalities will be listed on their diploma as their specialisations. So for example only those who are already qualified in the Gong may facilitate a gong puja as part of their assessment, only those with a Drumming qualification will be able to facilitate any of the drumming ceremonies etc., and only those with a Himalayan Singing Bowl qualification will be able to facilitate any of the singing bowl ceremonies and if they do so, their diploma will list the Gong or Drums or Singing Bowls (or all three) as their specialisations.
There is no deadline for this qualification. Students can submit their completed essay and ceremony write ups at any time after the training.
