Cautions and Contraindications

Although Sound Healing is very therapeutic and relaxing, there are some conditions when either cautions should be exercised or there may possibly be a total contraindication. If you have any queries about any of the following please message us before booking a ticket or arranging an appointment.

• Tinnitus – the sounds may aggravate existing tinnitus, although many tinnitus sufferers attend a gong bath without any adverse effects (caution only)
• Menieres Disease
• First Trimester of Pregancy contraindicated and thereafter if at risk, otherwise OK to receive.
• Advanced stages of cancer
• Those who have pacemakers fitted unless with doctor’s approval.
• Epilepsy
• Recent Hip/Joint Operations, Metal Implants (we have found that if the implants have been in situ for a number of years it is rare to experience any problems).
• Severe Osteoporosis
• Severe Mental Health Illnesses

Events are held on a monthly basis in Epping and fortnightly basis in Sawbridgeworth and are often themed or set with a particular intention. The sounds of the gongs are interspersed with other instruments such as Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, drums, voice and chimes to allow you to embark on a mystical, deeply meditative journey. Participants lie on a blanket or yoga mat and are bathed in the powerful and transformative sounds. For Epping Sound Events please bring something to lie on (mat/blanket), a blanket to cover you and a pillow or cushion.  Everything is provided at our Sawbridgeworth venue.  Pre-booking essential as places are limited. Tickets are £16 in advance. Other Sound Baths can be arranged in alternative venues. Please contact Sarah direct if you would like to arrange a gong/sound bath for a group or occasion.

Events held on an adhoc basis. Open to anyone with an interest in the Drum for meditation and healing purposes. The evenings take the form of Sacred Ceremony, Drum Journeys, Drum Healing, Group Drumming, Drumming and Chanting and Meditations with the Drum. Please bring your own drum if you are able, although there are a few spare available. Pre-booking essential.

We hold regular vocal toning events working with various sounds and / or chakra tones for healing and meditation. Group toning events are held on a regular basis. Pre-booking essential.
